Abstract We present a framework for optimizing the control parameters of floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs). The combines aeroelastic simulations with systems engineering model and software. In an example optimization framework, we minimize tower damage equivalent loading generator speed constraints. also study effect thrust-limiting quantify trade off between fatigue energy capture using set optimal controller designs. Finally, optimize four different FOWT models compare their dynamic responses. Additional details other use cases are presented, which can problems evaluate
